The last three years have been extraordinarily difficult in terms of Immigration to Canada. Since the COVID-19 crisis, Immigration Canada has built up a backlog of 2.4 million applications and lost hundreds of Immigration officers due to the closure of seven months. They are working hard to improve the processes and make the processing faster altogether. But all improvements take time first before results can be seen. Let’s hope that 2023 will be a better year for this and that everything slowly turns back to normal.
